Steve Braly’s extensive banking experience began immediately after college, where he majored in business management. Recognized early as one of the Outstanding Young Men In America, he has continued his education by completing numerous intermediate and graduate banking schools, while earning “hands on” skills for 30-plus years.

He has further distinguished himself in the commercial and mortgage banking business as a consultant to loan companies and banks. In 1977 he organized and chartered a new bank in Oklahoma, becoming its President and Chief Operating Officer in 1981.

He also organized and incorporated a nationally-known consulting firm in Dallas to work with thrifts, mortgage companies, and commercial banks. With his assistance, more than 350 financial institutions nationwide completed initial public stock offerings, raising in excess of $5 billion of new capital.

A mortgage lender for more than 18 years, Steve joined Greater Southwest Bankshares recently as its Grapevine, Texas branch manager. His customers benefit greatly from his vast experience in financial services.
